Join us for a live taping and listening-room concert for the Michael Hale Quintet! Blake O'Neil – Guitar Jon Deas – Keys Jorian Dawson – Saxophone Bass – TBA Michael Hale – Drums Michael Hale is a long time veteran of the Austin, Texas music scene. He began a long and fruitful career here starting back in 1981 first performing at Waterloo Ice House and Ragtime, with No Compromise, then a host of other venues that have come and gone, with a few like Antone's, The Elephant Room, and Flamingo Cantina still remaining. He has held residencies for the last few years at Half Step with Michael Hale Trio featuring Mac Mcintosh (10 yrs), The Continental Club Gallery with Michael Hale Organ Trio aka MHOT (9 yrs), and King Bee Lounge with Michael Hale Trio featuring Mac Mcintosh (8 yrs). Michael will be bringing the Michael Hale Quintet to Monk's Jazz on Wednesday September 10th at 8pm. Joining him on keys is Jonathan E. Deas, long time member of MHOT. Blake O'Neal, another member of MHOT on guitar, Jimmy Blazer from Michael Hale Trio featuring Mac Mcintosh, and BLK ODYSSY on bass, and Mr. Jorion Dawson on saxophone. He continues to share love and music with all who will receive it. Please Note: This is a live-taping, so we'll be enforcing a whisper-policy! Cold bottles of still and sparkling water will be available for purchase, but this event is BYOB. Ice will be available if needed, wine keys and 9oz cups provided! 22 free parking spaces onsite are first-come-first-serve. Doors at 7:45pm, Show at 8pm.
